Notre Dame de la Nuit
For this collection I was inspired by the cathedral Notre Dame de Paris and the Gothic era. I envisioned women going to a masquerade ball in Notre Dame at midnight. I wanted this collection to be mysterious and sexy, but still feel elegant and luxurious. I used high end silk fabrics such as silk taffetas and silk brocades. To construct this collection I used couture techniques with underlinings and boning.
Arcane Ashes
This collection was inspired by a painting I instantly fell in love with by Phillip Houisson at The Portland Art Museum. I pulled inspiration from this painting and fused it with The Great Fire of London in 1444. This was the time period of Jack the Ripper, Queen Elizabeth and the Baroque Era.
